The Problem We Couldn't Ignore

Greg here, the husband behind the husband-and-wife team/brains behind these cards.

(I'm the team, Erica is the brains)

Here's what we kept seeing...

Kids who could recite every Pokémon type matchup, every MTG mana cost, every Yu-Gi-Oh combo... but didn't know which saint to ask for help when they lost their homework.

They'd trade cards at recess, organize binders at home, memorize stats for hours.

But holy cards? Those collected dust in a drawer.

And honestly? We get it.

Traditional holy cards are... fine. Prayerful. Reverent.

But they're not collectible. They're not something a 10-year-old pulls out at lunch to show their friends.

So we had a question:

What if we made saint cards that kids would actually WANT to collect and trade?

What if we gave saints the same treatment that secular culture gives to fictional creatures?

What if memorizing St. Maximilian Kolbe's sacrifice score was as cool as knowing Charizard's attack stat?

What We Made

There Aren't Your Grandma's Holy Cards

These are professional TCG-quality saint cards printed by the same manufacturer that makes the big trading card games.

The same materials with the same satisfying snap when you shuffle them.

Each card features:
✅ Stunning saint artwork on the front
✅ Stats that matter - Charity, Hope, Temperance, etc.
✅ Prayer for their intercession on the back
✅ TCG-grade card stock that feels right in your hand

And one of the coolest parts?

Our Greatest Hits:

Saint Pio of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio) ~ Set 3

Artist: Rachel Pappas

Story behind the artwork:

Allied bombers saw a monk flying in the sky with his hands raised over San Giovanni Rotondo. Sometimes the planes withdrew, other times payloads refused to deploy, or bombs dropped by themselves harmlessly into the forest. Padre Pio was identified in the monastery by a general who recognized him as the monk in the sky.  Padre Pio approached him and said “So it was you who wanted to kill us all?” The general ended up converting to Catholicism.

Other facts about Padre Pio

Bore the stigmata for 50 years.  The wounds vanished upon his death.
Had the gift of reading souls.

Saint George

~ Set 2

Artist: John Pellicciotta

Story behind the artwork:

Saint George is pictured with a dragon to represent the popular medieval legend of him saving a city by defeating a monster that required human sacrifice. This image symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, faith over paganism, and courage in the face of terror.

Saint Joseph Terror of Demons

~ Set 3

Artist: John Pellicciotta

Story Behind the Artwork:

St. Joseph is frequently depicted holding a staff adorned with lilies, symbolizing his purity. In the image on our card, his staff is depicted as a weapon with a blade in the shape of a fleur de lis (French for lily), because his purity and obedience to God are why demons are terrified of him.

When you get the card, read the prayer on the back, especially the first 2 stanzas. The image on the card is a stylized imagining of the prayer.

Saint Nicholas of Myra

~ Set 2

Artist: John Pellicciotta

Story Behind the Artwork:

According to popular legend, Saint Nicholas slapped the priest Arius at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. The incident allegedly occurred because Arius was preaching heresy, denying the divinity of Christ. He is pictured with a dove as a symbol of the Holy Spirit, reflecting his role as a holy bishop, and as a symbol of peace and divine guidance.

Saint John The Baptist

~ Set 3

Artist: Adam Makowczenko

Story Behind The Art:

In Eastern Orthodox art, St. John the Baptist is sometimes depicted with wings and a thin cross, symbolizing his role as messenger and herald of the Messiah.

Saint Joan of Arc

~ Set 3

Artist: Adam Makowczenko

Story behind the artwork:

Before she was burned at the stake, Joan asked a priest to hold a crucifix high before her so she could die looking at Jesus Crucified, uttering his name as her last word. The "glowing" or luminous nature represents her holding onto faith through the darkness of her execution.

Saint Francis of Assisi

~ Set 3

Artist: Adam Makowczenko

Story behind the artwork:

Saint Francis of Assisi is pictured with a skull as a memento mori ("remember your death"), symbolizing a deep meditation on human mortality, the fleeting nature of earthly life, and the promise of eternal life

Saint Patrick

~ Set 3

Artist: John Pellicciotta

Story behind the artwork:

Does this one need explaining? Saint Patrick was a bishop and defeated the druids by proving that his God was the real God. In the final contest, Saint Patrick drove the poisonous snakes the druids had released into the sea, thus saving and converting the people of Ireland.

Our Lady of Sorrows

~ Set 3

Artist: Montsy Olivas

Story behind the artwork:

Our Lady of Sorrows is depicted with a heart pierced by swords (or daggers) to visually represent the immense emotional and spiritual pain Mary endured throughout her life, particularly regarding the sufferings of her son, Jesus Christ. There are seven swords, symbolizes the Seven Sorrows (or Dolors) of Mary
