In 2020, we curated a box with a kitchen theme. The positive feedback we received was overwhelming.

Here is where I laugh - I could have made 3 versions of this box and no two items would have been the same. Since sharing the first kitchen themed box several years ago, I have been waiting to curate another.

So this quarter, I am happy to share this Heart of the Home box with you. I love loving people through a delicious meal or a tasty treat. The kitchen is where my heart is poured out creatively to provide nourishment for those I love.

Marian Beeswax Wrap by Dappled Light Doodles

Have you seen these before? Beeswax wraps are reusable replacements for foil and plastic wrap. We have these in our home and love them. The art was created for us by our talented friend Jamie from Dappled Light Doodles, and represents Mary. The “M” monogram, combined with her Immaculate Heart, pierced by an arrow pointing us towards Jesus. Mary truly embodies the Heart of the Home. And if you didn’t know, the bee has been used as a Christian symbol since the early days of the Church.

Ceramic Dipping Dish by Clarey Clay Works

I love dips. I could make a whole meal out of dips. We reached out to Anne Clarey and asked her if she would be able to create a bread dipping bowl for us, and we are blown away by her work. Each one of these dishes is formed from clay by hand and then stamped. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil, some balsamic vinegar, and a pinch of salt, then grab a fresh baked loaf of bread to dip.

Felt Ball Coasters by Small Things Great Love

Aren’t these coasters fun? Allison from Small Things Great Love teamed up with some amazing fair trade artisans for these pieces. We reached out to her about including them in our box. They add a delightful pop of color and honestly, just make me smile.

Leather Trivet by Wild Things Adventures

With 7 kids, we find ourselves replacing things more often than we would like. Everything in our home, especially in the kitchen, gets a LOT of use. Thankfully, we know this leather trivet will be around for quite a while. Sarah beautifully hand crafted each one for us to share with you.

Surrender Window Cling by Amelia Ann Designs

I love the Catholic tradition of offering up our sufferings. One small way I do that every day is washing dishes. We reached out to Ashley to collaborate on this design. We love her painting style and use of color, and know this cling will look beautiful on any window. Mine is going on the window above my kitchen sink.

Pan Scraper by The Little Catholic Box

I thought this would be a simple and fun item to include. I have used similar scrapers for years in my kitchen, but recently misplaced mine! There are certain things that are nearly impossible to clean without one of these, so I had the idea to create one to share with all of you. I hope this brings you a smile while working on an otherwise thankless job.

Lovely Home-Centered Items

I gave the coasters to my oldest daughter because she loved them right away! The trivet, pan scraper, and wrap will be wonderful reminders to be mindful when preparing meals for my family. The dipping bowl is my favorite! And the window cling may find it’s way into the window by my reading corner!

Beautiful

I love it all! This box has to be one of my favorites. From the ceramic dipping dish to the unique beeswax wrap and then the leather trivet- they are such beautifully crafted items. I also love the pan scraper (who doesn’t need one of these) and the felt ball coasters are just so fun.
