Our Story

When my husband Jim and I first met in college, I was Catholic, but making it to mass was a
struggle for me. He on the other hand was a soon to be convert who was excited about his
faith. Even though he couldn’t participate, he was always asking me to go to mass at our
school’s chapel on Sunday evenings. When we started dating, our first real date consisted of
driving an hour to Columbus, Ohio to have pizza and see a movie, Thérèse: The Story of Saint
Thérèse of Lisieux (2004). It was subtitled, and kind of what you’d expect for a film about a
Catholic saint. It wasn’t the rom-com I was used to, but I didn’t know that night how the Little
Flower would keep coming back to us. In 2006 I ended up taking my first teaching job at
Little Flower Catholic School. Fast forward, 8 years, and our 4th little girl was born.
We named her Teresa in honor of St. Thérèse and St. Teresa of Calcutta.

We try to take St. Thérèse of Lisieux’s example of being little. We’re certainly not a large
company, but we hope and we pray that our little box will be a little extra push towards
deeper faith for those who receive it.

About Liz

Liz is a wife and mother to 4, with a little saint in heaven.
After her daughter, Madelyn, passed away at 5 days old,
she had a profound renewal experience. She experienced
the beauty of the Catholic faith and felt called to share
that with others. She has a passion for making the
Catholic faith accessible to everyone no matter where
they may be on their faith journey. She loves that she is
able to help women deepen their faith with prayerfully
curated boxes while supporting Catholic artisans,
businesses and religious orders.

When she is not working on The Little Catholic Box, she
enjoys game nights with her family, coaching volleyball
and catching up with friends at a local coffee shop.

Frequently Asked Questions

I had a subscription in 2017, but can’t access
my account. Why isn’t my log in information
working?

On Febraury 1, 2018, we launched a brand new
website. Our subscriptions are now processed
through WooCommerce instead of Cratejoy. We
were unable to transfer over your information to
our new site so you will need to set up a new
account and purchase a new subscription.

When will my box arrive?
We typically curate a set number of boxes each
quarter. At the top of our homepage, you will see
which box will be your first box. Boxes will ship the
first week of February, May, August and November.

How does payment work?
We offer easy and secure payments by credit or
debit card. You will be billed immediately upon
sign up and then renewals will occur based on the
subscription plan (quarterly, 2x per year or
annually) you choose.

How will I know my box has shipped?
We will send you an email confirming when your
order has been shipped.

Do you ship outside of the United States?
We do. Shipping is included for U.S. residents
(excluding Alaska and Hawaii). An additional
shipping fee with be calculated at checkout. We
are not responsible for any additional customs
charges that your country may apply.

When do Special Edition boxes ship?
The shipping window for special edition boxes will
be stated on the listing for each box in our Shop.
Unless we are in the pre-order stage for a special
edition box, boxes typically ship within 1-3
business days.

Can you put together a gift box for my
church group?

If our schedule allows, we are happy to curate a
special edition box fro your group. Please
Contact Us so we can discuss your theme and
budget.

Where can I buy more of what was included
in a past box?

We typically sell out of our inventory each month.
We are a home-based business and do not carry a
lot of stock. Please check our Shop page or
Contact Us to see if we have any extras. You can
also email the artist directly to purchase more.

How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime prior to
your renewal date by logging into your account and
managing your subscription.

What do I do if my box is damaged during
shipping or I am missing an item?

Any missing or damaged items must be reported
within 1 week of your delivery date. Please
Contact Us and we will assist you in replacing the
item.

I’m an artist and would like to contribute.
How would I be considered for an upcoming
box?

We love when artists and Catholic business owners
approach us. Please Contact Us with information
about your shop and items that you would like to
be considered. Photos are a big help too!
